Marie (Mel House) is a people-pleasing New York City mom who thought she’d have money, success, and respect by middle-age. Instead, she’s working too many survival jobs and failing to meet her family’s expectations. But Marie’s the kind of woman you can count on to swallow her anger and put on a bright fucking smile. When she gets an opportunity to step into the role of a sexy powerful Goddess, Marie thinks she’s finally getting what she deserves. Set in New York City on September 28, 2018 - the day after Dr. Blasey Ford and Brett Kavanaugh testified before the Senate Judiciary Committee - the series follows Marie on one unbelievable morning as she faces robo-spam-sext messages, a humiliating encounter at her son’s school, her own feelings of imposter syndrome, a judgy older sister, road rage, assault in the workplace, and an opportunity to change everything. Now Marie will face the parts of herself that she hides from the world in a very public way, as her anger goes viral and taps into a nerve in the zeitgeist.
