Drama Series - ScriptOutlets
When people ask each other, "What do you do?", the most interesting answers often don't relate to their job. These are stories about everyday people and the human urge to create. In an era of “Content” that is by and large digital and experienced by the public via algorithmic distribution, and at a time when we are all wrestling with the question of where AI fits in the world of human creativity, this docu-series will explore the more “offline”, tangible and distinctly human creations rendered by “ordinary” people; people who have a “real” job but who find a greater purpose in a side of themselves largely hidden from their peers. These are people who believe—as Megan Hart says in the pilot episode— “pointless things are worth doing.” And their creations and passions will astound you. In the pilot episode (The Elephant in the Driveway), a middle school English teacher by day, Megan Hart one morning decides to begin making a giant cyclops elephant puppet. As her whimsy grows into an obsession and expenses spiral, her daughter, new husband, and neighbors can't help but wonder; what is this all for? Megan's story before the elephant was one of unhappy relationships, an unfulfilling career, and a history of hyper-fixation and obsessive compulsive behaviors. Through her self-described "pointless" elephant project, and with the support of a new partner that understands her complexities, Megan wrestles with those three demons to emerge a more complete person than she was before. The Elephant In The Driveway is a love story about a filmmaker and his complicated wife who for 6 weeks lives by one guiding principle: sometimes "pointless" things are worth doing.

In search of a WI-FI password, he visits Sarah next door, a white woman running a yoga studio and wellness podcast. They don’t get along but she blows him up so his grandma’s old customers start coming in: Old Woman, town Doctor, Gunslinger Gus, Teacher Tess, etc. He tells them off: I don’t work here, Signs point to no, Try again later. A sweating lawyer says Dev can keep the place rent-free or sell it for a large sum…Dev agrees to sell but the uncomfortable lawyer jets. An unknown assailant SMASHES the front window with a brick. Act 2 Morning. Dev installs a security camera. Sarah livestreams: he’s staying! Not for long; he just wants to figure out which townsfolk did it before leaving. (This surveillance app AURAL syncs with the door, using AI to auto-assign people a unique chime as they enter/exit.) He calls back the townspeople, offering a free session of whatever they used to do with grandma. All store clerks (Indian Diner Owner, Kama Sutra Sex Shop Midwestern Couple, Sarah, gym bro) drink and decompress around the tarot table, revealing to Dev that the town’s outskirts has various ethnically-themed strip malls; they compete to keep their spot at Diversity Fairs, making Dev their brownface ringer. At the end, Dev simply translates his grandma’s diary with an app, finding something shocking. He storms into Church where Dick leads a Crypto for Christ pitch. Dev asks if Dick killed Dev’s grandma.

Broke Boys is a story about chasing your dreams and the cost of achieving those dreams while being Black, poor, and unlucky. Best friends-since-way-back, TARIQ and RAY have wanted to make a movie since they saw "Do The Right Thing." Tariq is a talented cinematographer who wants to make "beautiful cinema," raise his son, and be in a bullshit-free relationship. All of which seems unlikely. He's broke, homeless, owes his baby momma rent money and child support, and the love of his life, Logan, is engaged. Ray is a brilliant director doing everything he can to make his first feature film. He is deprived in all the ways that matter to him: he's broke (surprise!), living with his declining father (POPS), and hasn't been intimate with a woman in a very, very long time (maybe never). Tariq wears the world and his shortcomings on his face. He expects nothing. Ray emits positive energy and optimism. He expects it all. Even though they argue all the time, they are an outstanding tandem together. The dream of being a filmmaker is a surcharge on their lives. And their lives are already taxed by racism, gentrification, police brutality, an unjust court system, and just plain old haters. Their mistakes are amplified because they are poor, and their corrective measures are never adequate enough. Every episode is a roller coaster of failed plans, twisted schemes, and mini adventures to get their movie made. At every failure, they discover more about their friendship. And with every success, they discover more about themselves. Sometimes painful, sometimes hilarious, but always real – the boys know a dream costs, but broke and Black, how much will they have to pay?

Karan goes to his marked location: a frat house. He sneaks in but is mistaken for a pledge and forced into a keg stand. Mark, a Caucasian bro, mistakes him for his Econ tutor but is congenial. Karan stumbles upstairs to the cigar room, where a chest corresponds to his GPS. He opens it to find Imani, a young African-American woman, who bops him in the nose before storming out. Karan exits, deciding he’s done with the game; but, Imani makes him drive her back to the dilapidated mansion. En route, cops pull them over, interrogate them separately. Karan’s tipsy but sharp enough to avoid trouble. Imani’s story apparently corroborates. The mansion is now empty. Imani reveals the house shut down when a girl died last year. Separately, Karan finds a USB which transfers $10,000 through his phone and Imani finds a MAP with the Greek system marked with circles and arrows, along with a combination code which indicates that: They head BACK to the frat house. Imani explains that the girls are in rivalry with the frats, trying to bring them down, and she needs Karan’s help. Karan needs to use the combination code on a safe in the cigar room. Mark stops him, says he knows what he’s up to. That the girls are after a rumored ledger: a coded account of hush money transfers and cover-ups that would expose corrupt donors. Mark hands Karan a ledger and says he’ll give him $10,000 to feed them this fake, which when “decoded” and published, will bring the sorority down instead. Mark even offers Karan a spot in the frat where he can roll in drugs, women and test scores. Karan meets with Imani outside and hands her the ledger… Imani returns to her sorority where the girls start to translate the ledger to be published in the morning. Karan’s Anatomy bookmark falls out and Imani understands it’s a fake, but lets it be published anyway; though pieces may fall in the wrong order, she’s trying to bring down the whole system. Karan hides his night from his ailing mother back home, promising to get her a good doctor. “You will be a good doctor” she says. Imani knocks on his door, confesses that the girls are using him as a fall guy but she has her own game to expose everyone since her twin sister died last year in a hazing incident. Short Form/Experimental Series - VideoKobieta na krańcu świata
Episode title: If Courage Had a Name, ep1. Series: Woman at the End of the World“Woman at the End of the World” is a documentary series that portrays remarkable women worldwide. Each episode focuses on a different female protagonist showing that the sky's the limit when it comes to female empowerment. We aim to inspire and show how amazing women are. The series has been broadcasted for 15 years in Poland and abroad. The series is hosted by Martyna Wojciechowska, a Polish journalist, traveler, activist, and former editor-in-chief of National Geographic Poland. Martyna is also the founder and president of the Unaweza foundation, which aims to empower women and girls by providing them with equal economic, social and legal opportunities. “Woman at the End of the World” is an important documentary series focused on inspirational women from different parts of the world. Women taking part in our show are setting an example by changing the world around them and challenging various social boundaries and prejudices. Some of the most memorable heroines that we portrayed are for example: - Jen Bricker - a woman born without legs who, despite many challenges, became a renowned professional gymnast and aerialist, - Mussarat Misbah - an activist helping women that suffered in acid attacks in Pakistan, - Theresa Kachindamoto - a chief from Malawi who ended thousands of child marriages in her country. Our program also plays an important educational role by discussing vital social issues and challenges. Throughout the years, we have covered many complex and often difficult topics and started significant discussions among our viewers. Some of the examples are: hunting albino children in Tanzania, migration crises in Europe, imprisonment of women who suffered miscarriage in El Salvador, human trafficking in Romania, social exclusion of intersex people in Kenya. The series has been broadcasted for 15 years in Poland and abroad Episodes: Woman at the End of the World, Nigeria Episode title: “If Courage Had a Name” In 2016, Anja Ringgren Lovén became a household name after a photo of her rescuing a starving 2-year-old Nigerian child went viral. The boy, later named Hope by Anja and her husband David, was accused of witchcraft and abandoned by his family. Severely malnourished, he waited long for any help to arrive. In Nigeria, superstitious beliefs are part of everyday life. Often, this is how misfortunes and accidents are explained. For those living in extreme poverty and deprived of the chance for education, witchcraft accusations serve as an excuse to reduce the number of dependents in the family. Children accused of witchcraft, often toddlers, suffer different forms of abuse and are starved or even killed. They are subjected to exorcisms by local Christian pastors or given poisonous concoctions by witch doctors. In the episode “If Courage Had a Name” we get to see the remarkable life of Anja Ringgren Lovén, a Danish aid worker and the founder of Land of Hope, an organization that rescues and gives shelter to children accused of witchcraft. Martyna waited over seven years to meet this extraordinary woman who one day might be the one to break the spell on Nigeria. Woman at the End of the World, Brazil Episode title: “Rainbow Home” Most often, when we think of Brazil, we think of samba, its colorful Carnival, soap operas and soccer. While Brazil might seem like an inclusive and tolerant country, it is, in fact, full of contrasts. For many, violence and machismo are a harsh daily reality. For over a decade, Brazil has ranked first in the infamous statistics of transgender homicides. Every year, transphobia kills more than 100 people in the country. In this episode of "Woman at the End of the World," Martyna visits Fortaleza, where Lara Nicole, an activist who refuses to accept a world full of violence, fights for the rights of LGBTQ+ people. Lara says her biggest dream is to make it to 40, as the average life expectancy for a transgender woman in Brazil is 35 years. As a result of the enormous social exclusion, nearly 90% of transgender women in the country are forced into prostitution and exposed to all forms of violence. That's why Lara opened the doors of her rainbow home and created Casa Transformar, a safe space for people from the Fortaleza LGBTQ+ community. Woman at the End of the World, Ukraine Episode title: “Regular Woman” Explosions, people running away, shots, mass graves, houses shattered into pieces… these are the images of Ukraine that, for the past year and a half, have been circulating the world media outlets. The Russian invasion of Ukraine began in 2014, and a full-scale invasion has been ongoing since February 2022. The conflict has taken the lives of thousands of people while millions have been forced to flee. As any other military conflict in history, this one also has many faces. In Ukraine, Martyna met with silent heroines of this war: Iryna Dovgan and Natalia Leluch. Iryna and Natalia may seem like regular women at first glance. Natalia is a doctor and Iryna a beautician. However, what they have in common is an extraordinary strength, bravery and help that they offer those in need. When we think about weapons used during wartime, we often think about rifles, tanks and missiles. However, since the beginning of time, one of the most powerful weapons against humanity is sexual violence, which goes hand in hand with military conflicts all over the world. Women who survived it are often silenced, and their experiences become a reason to be ashamed. It is estimated that only around 6% of women who survived rape during war decide to speak about it. The protagonists of this episode shared their heart-breaking stories with Martyna to break their silence and to shed light on what’s happening every day almost in the heart of Europe. Woman at the End of the World, Hong Kong Episode title: “Artificial or Intelligent?” Martyna embarks on a journey through Asia and Europe to meet the youngest protagonist of the “Woman at the End of the World” show. First, she visits Hong Kong - the city of skyscrapers, new technologies and business. Here, its headquarters has Hanson Robotics - the company that created Sophia, the most famous humanoid robot in the world! From Hong Kong Martyna goes to London to see what causes Sophia to evoke such extreme emotions in the world. Sophia is a female robot and a real star. She dated Will Smith, sang with Jimmy Fallon, gave a speech during a UN session, and she made the covers of multiple magazines. Even though she is not the most advanced humanoid robot in the world, her existence still prompts discussion about artificial intelligence and its use in day-to-day life. But what exactly is artificial intelligence, and can it really take over the control over humankind? Or, on the contrary, can it contribute to the advancement of science and medicine? Can humanoid robots become our helpers that will take over from us routine tasks and keep us company? We will try to answer these questions in the next episode of “Woman at the End of the World” because it is still hard to establish: “Artificial or Intelligent?”

Comedy Series - ScriptAges of Man
An anthology fiction short where three men find themselves in vulnerable positions with three women. This comedic horror drops the audience in the middle of stories about the invisible labor that women perform every day, the labor that makes the world go round. Second, Jason, an over-confident innocent, barrels obliviously through life. Striding into the middle of a murder scene: he demands a hair cut from Maya, mansplaining music and hairdressing as he goes, unaware of the dangerous women he’s bossing around…and whose well-being he has entrusted to. Is it enough to make Maya snap and claim a second victim that day? Third, Paul is an adult baby and Emily is more than happy to indulge his kink. During their weekly bath, they work at negotiating a private world together. Their ritual is consensual and a mutual pleasure - she offers care and he receives it with gratitude. She draws a bath that is his ideal temperature, and she washes him expertly. How will he respond to the reveal that another male, an actual baby boy, is about to enter their lives and lay claim to the attention and love she has until now only lavished on him?

Drama Series - VideoThe Witches of Gitchigumee Pilot Pitch2024 - Victoria Main
Through flashback and present-day action in the pilot episode, we learn that for some in the small north shore community, a deep fear of the witches has never completely disappeared, despite their generational presence there. This is especially true of one local, Jimmy. Jimmy lives in the same house where over 100 years ago, a man documented his growing paranoia about the "evil" witches in a journal still hidden in the attic of this house. Jimmy carries a lot of anger about his life and feelings that he has not received all that he is entitled to. Although he is not yet aware of it, the journal hidden in his attic is having a growing effect on him. The witches share the home that has been theirs for generations -- Coven leaders Blaze and Ruby, Charlotte the 'Seer,' fearless feminist Billie and her sister, the new-age Gwendolyn. Agatha, the eldest of the witches is rapidly declining as she experiences her 'transformation' to the journey beyond this lifetime, When Charlotte reports a disturbing vision to leaders Blaze and Ruby, Blaze senses that a darkness threatens the coven. But friends and supporters also make their presence felt. Patrick and Dana run the local community theater and are frequent visitors to the witches' house. During one such happy hour visit, they ask the witches to help promote the theater's upcoming production by participating in the annual Harvest Festival Parade. The coven is, of course, happy to support their friends and agree to attend the parade, distributing flyers for the show. Blaze's dear friend since childhood, Father Carson Brooks, is now the parish priest. They confide in each other and have relied on this mutual support for years. Their friendship is kept close, as on the surface, they are from different spiritual worlds. Father Brooks makes a visit to the witches' house to buy fresh vegetables from their weekly garden stand, while Jimmy and his friends watch from his truck. After a sudden cacophony of wind and nearby crows, Agatha transforms, and emerges from an upstairs window as a large crow. Blaze reminds Carson that some questions are better left unasked. At the Harvest Festival Parade, these characters will converge when Jimmy instigates a confrontation with the witches, Patrick and the theater group. Crow Agatha will defend the witches and their friends in her own special way.
PitchWorldBetween Hope & Freedom
In the pilot episode “Moving Day” the two teenagers of an eccentric blended family try to make sense of their experience. Micah, desperate to meet his first sweetheart, and Chiffon, worldly and chill, observe and report how their married moms face economic uncertainty. Mom #1, Jo, new tenure-track faculty at a Big 10 university, is on a temporary furlough. Living pay check to pay check and now no pay check at all means the family goes glamping in Mom #2, Kater’s welding studio inside a big old barn. Which Kater keeps calling a barndominium, but it’s not exactly livable, yet. On the other side of the lavender field, Micah and Chiffon explore the farm’s overstuffed Victorian house, especially Lizabeth’s Luxury Locks & Fortunes — all of it owned and operated by a 60-year-old trans woman, Liza. It’s really different than the burbs out here between Hope and Freedom, a very real place with a radical state of mind. Micah and Chiffon give themselves manicures and facials and earn Liza's feigned scorn for leaving a trail of crusty green mask in the Luxury Locks sink. They instantly fall in fangirl love with her. They also meet Georgeanna, the high school secretary and down-the-hill neighbor who drops by with a jello mold, and offers to register the teens for school, which they reject because they’re only staying there temporarily. George, Georgeanna’s husband, also drops offering their new neighbors kimchi and to hire Kater for welding jobs at his auto body shop. Jo is jealous of her wife, who is now elevated to the role of primary breadwinner. Worse, the Dean messages Jo: her temporary furlough isn’t temporary; her entire department has been slashed in the state’s budget cuts. Her perimenopausal hot flashes kick in. Micah and Chiffon watch Jo unravel, and that makes them hungry. Alas, when they fire up the grill, a gust of wind sends lit wads of newspaper across the dry grass. Not good. Volunteer fire fighters stamp out the fire, while Micah flirts with the fire chief’s niece, Fran. She’s not interested in the younger boy, but Chiffon connects with an age-appropriate friend. In the barn Micah and Chiffon unpack their loft bedrooms. Chiffon hangs picture postcards with dream destinations all over the world. On the porch swing Jo confesses to Kater her fear that she has no value. Liza offers lemonade and a flask. That night, inside their bedrooms, the moms get frisky, the teens shush them, and read Tarot cards. Micah pulls The Lovers card. That’s his dream. Maybe living in a barndominium-to-be between Hope and Freedom isn’t so bad after all. Except when the guinea hens fly through.
