One year after a tragic accident, a humanoid robot, ROBBIE, is activated by his guilt-ridden creator, LETICIA, to pose as a typical teenager. However, despite being a state-of-the-art machine, Robbie’s demeanor is far from flawless. When he’s enrolled in high school, Robbie quickly garners the unwanted attention of outcast MAX and the brooding CONNOR following a physical altercation with head jock DEAN. Meanwhile, Leticia evades journalist SAM’s invasive questions as she tries to re-establish herself following a grave loss.

In order to ensure the deadly events from the past remain concealed, Robbie must adhere to Leticia’s strict directives, despite a newfound curiosity for rebellious teen life, a soulful desire to establish himself as his own, and the realization of a haunting truth...
