Loft and Found
LOGLINE: Five millennials with Peter Pan syndrome navigate aging while running an illegal event venue out of their sketchy warehouse loft.
PREMISE: Faced with rising rents and a final chance to live their dreams, five artists in their mid 30s turn their sketchy Brooklyn warehouse loft into an event venue. Amidst wild lifestyles, aging roommate drama, and the creep of modern anxiety, they have to decide: does growing up mean giving up? Or will they get their shit together and save their unorthodox community despite it all?
VIBE: Viewers vicariously live a wild, bohemian lifestyle, without ever having to smell it. The actors play exaggerated versions of themselves, acting out narratives based on real life stories. For example, in real life, Eli is behind on rent, but just bought bagpipes!
Y THO?: They say the real miracle of Jesus was keeping 12 close friends in his 30s. Though our characters can’t get it right and need to grow up, at least they have a loving, thriving community that we want to celebrate and share.
For Fans Of: What We Do In The Shadows, High Maintenance, It’s Always Sunny, The Office, Trailer Park Boys, Letterkenny.
Market Demand: Mockumentaries remain massively popular (4th re-watch of The Office, anyone?), yet the only current mockumentary series are Abbott Elementary and What We Do In The Shadows (on its last season).
