The Life of Clare - (15 Page) Pitch Bible by Bodhi Werner
Click to Unmute
The Life of Clare is a ten-hour family drama told from the perspective of a young girl in a terribly dangerous environment set in Orange County, California, and Duluth, Minnesota, in 1968. Based on the book of life stories of Clare Cooley, a self-taught artist from a severely dysfunctional family.

We explore each family member's different coping mechanisms to navigate the dysfunction. Our protagonist's coming-of-age story shows how creative genius can be born from adversity—a diamond formed under pressure. We journey inside the developing mind of a teenage girl and see how tragedy and struggle inform and fuel her artistry. Her imagination spills out into the world around her like augmented reality—her superpower that allows her to overcome extreme adversity.

The Life of Clare breaks open our hearts with the story of a girl who holds onto her childlike wonder even when she must rise to the responsibility of motherhood.
